“30 Hours for a Rainbow” – Everything you need to know

GlitterBeam Radio is gearing up for its biggest broadcast ever. On 6–7 December 2025, the station will launch “30 Hours for a Rainbow”, a high-energy, emotional, music-filled 32-hour live charity marathon raising vital funds for LGBTQ+ organisations across the UK. For one unforgettable weekend, GlitterBeam presenters, artists, activists, and community voices will unite on air to celebrate resilience, amplify queer stories, and raise money for life-changing services.

This year’s marathon supports frontline LGBTQ+ charities and community organisations, helping deliver housing, mental health support, emergency resources, trans community care, and safe-space initiatives at a time when they are needed more than ever.

Across 32 continuous hours, the broadcast will feature a powerful mix of music, interviews, community stories, and live performances. Themes rotate every hour and include:

Every hour begins with a 5-minute Top of the Hour break and music burst, giving the marathon its signature pace and rhythm.
