At Restart Medical & Aesthetic Clinic, founder and lead practitioner Alan is on a mission: to give men a space where they can talk openly about confidence, appearance, and intimate wellbeing — without judgment.

In this exclusive interview, Alan talks about male regenerative treatments, PRP, and why the conversation around men’s health is long overdue.

Alan, you specialise in regenerative and aesthetic treatments for men, can you tell us what sparked your interest in this area?

I have worked within the industry for over a decade and never really come across a practitioner or business that speaks out to me to be a male only or male specific clinic. This is why I created Restart Medical & Aesthetics Clinic to give men a dedicated clinic but more importantly a safe space.

There’s been a growing conversation around male wellness and confidence, what kind of concerns are men bringing to you in the clinic?

To be honest there is a long list but what can be a concern to me might not be one to you. My main focus with all treatments is mens mental health, their confidence and improving their quality of life, this can be from intimate treatments to skin appearance; we are all different and have different wants and needs.

You offer PRP-based treatments for intimate rejuvenation. For someone who’s never heard of this before, what does that actually involve?

In short, the withdrawal of blood and then that’s where my regenerative medicine background kicks in as I separate the blood into a variety of strands of plasma to achieve what you want and this is all done over a good chat and a joke or 7.

There’s often a bit of hesitation or embarrassment around this kind of treatment. What would you say to someone who’s curious but nervous?

It is completely normal, id say around 95% of clients who see me are nervous on their initial appointment, even skin treatments and do you know why? Because it’s something new. I would be the bang same and the best advice I can give is to book in for a consultation and let us have a good chat.

Some men think about these treatments in terms of enhancement. From your clinical perspective, what can someone realistically expect from a PRP procedure?

This is totally dependent on what the client wants, from a size perspective we can achieve up to an inch in length and girth however this comes with the treatment and aftercare to which I guide you through everything.

There is an array of benefits with this, even to stimulating sensation which might I add is such a good benefit (from personal experience)

What’s the process like, from first consultation to aftercare? How do you ensure each treatment is safe and appropriate for the patient?

Normally prior to consultation we exchange a lot of messages as I find a lot of clients prefer this method before booking in, once we have a consultation I bring the science to life and show images of my work and explain what we have done and why, once you have had the treatment we have regular online check ins and I guide you through your process.

This whole process I am managing your expectations and ensuring you are safe throughout because although its your treatment its still my clinical judgement as well to ensure the treatment is right for you.

Are there any common myths or misunderstandings about male PRP treatments that you think need clearing up?

So many! A lot of myths are based on the original treatment and since then regenerative medicine and dermal filler technology has progressed so much. I have treated a vast amount of men now all with benefits from ONE treatment, the previous protocol was 1 treatment every 3 months and it would only treat certain concerns. So the best advice id give anyone is to reach out and have the conversation as I have first had experience with this treatment, over a decade of regenerative medicine experience and I have been published for my intimate regenerative work.

Finally, for someone exploring this for the first time, what’s the one piece of advice you’d want them to hear?

Ask as many questions as you want! There is no judgement at Restart Medical & Aesthetics Clinic, I am here to help you gain your confidence back and help you be the best version of you!
