Dartford – The Orchard Theatre announces 2027 Line-up

Following the landmark announcement that The Orchard Theatre will officially reopen its doors on 12 December 2026 with the pantomime spectacular Cinderella, starring Joe Pasquale, the venue has today confirmed the first shows in a powerhouse opening season for the 2027.

The “Standing Ovation Musical” Blood Brothers, the hit British comedy The Full Monty, and a local spectacular from Dartford Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (DAODS), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, are the first major productions confirmed to return to the main auditorium, signalling a bold new chapter for the venue.

The 2027 Season Highlights:

Blood Brothers Tue 26 – Sat 30 January 2027: Willy Russell’s legendary musical returns to Dartford. This captivating tale of twins separated at birth, who grow up on opposite sides of the tracks only to meet again with fateful consequences, remains one of the most beloved productions in British theatre history.

The Full Monty Mon 24 – Sat 29 May 2027: Based on the smash-hit film, this brand-new production brings the “chuffing champion” story of six Sheffield steelworkers to life. Fast, funny, and deeply touching, it is a celebration of friendship and resilience that has won hearts across the globe.

DAODS presents Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Wed 7 – Sat 10 April 2027: Continuing the theatre’s long-standing commitment to local talent, the Dartford Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (DAODS) will bring the “fantasmagorical” musical adventure to the main stage. This community-led production promises high-flying spectacle for the whole family.
