How much does it cost to record a podcast at The Auravine?
Studio hire is £35 per hour and includes both audio and video recording, all equipment, and every raw file from the session. Professional audio editing is an optional £30 add-on.
Can I record a video podcast, not just audio?
Yes. Every session is set up for video as standard — cinematic lighting and a designed set — so you can record the audio episode and the video version at the same time, at no extra cost.
Do I get the recording files?
Yes. All raw audio and video files from your session are included in the hourly rate and are yours to edit and publish however you like.
How many people can record at once?
The studio is set up for two — a host and a guest — seated facing each other across the desk, each with a microphone and headphones. Recording with a larger group? Message us before you book.
Do I need my own equipment or experience?
Neither. The microphones, headphones, cameras and lighting are all here and set up for you. If it's your first recording, tell us when you book and we'll walk you through it.
Do you run radio or podcasting courses?
Yes — RadioLab runs hands-on radio and audio courses in this studio, covering presenting & voice, podcasting, audio production, live radio & studio practice. You can book a private session or join a scheduled group course.
How much does a RadioLab course cost?
Personalised sessions are priced per session rather than per person: £100 one-to-one, £150 for two people and £200 for three to four. Scheduled open courses are ticketed separately, with prices listed on Eventbrite.
