CHVRCHES Announce All The King’s Men and 2027 UK Tour

CHVRCHES Announce All The King’s Men and 2027 UK Tour

CHVRCHES have announced All The King’s Men, their fifth studio album, alongside a 2027 tour that includes eight UK shows and a Dublin date. The album arrives on 22 January 2027, with the British and Irish concerts following in April and May.

The announcement on Wednesday 21 October sets out the next chapter for Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty after the trio paused following their Screen Violence touring cycle. It brings a confirmed release date, an 11-song tracklist and a new opportunity for UK audiences to see the band together.

All The King’s Men arrives in January

The official album store confirms the 22 January release and identifies All The King’s Men as the band’s fifth studio record. Roses opens the collection, followed by Evil, Adore You, Overthinker and Royal Blue.

The second half comprises Comedown Tomorrow, Friend Of A Friend, Three Out Of Five, Conman, Jamie’s Prayer and Faith In Flying. That gives listeners a complete running order to explore as further music emerges, rather than an album announcement with its contents still under wraps.

Roses is already being promoted as the new single on the band’s official website, which also links to listening services and the accompanying video. The album and live dates are therefore part of the same return, with a track available now ahead of the January release.

The promoter’s release information lists vinyl, CD, cassette and digital editions. For fans deciding between formats, the important common detail is the release date: the new collection is due in January, ahead of the band’s return to British and Irish stages.

A different direction after Screen Violence

In its report on the announcement, Pitchfork describes the record as a collection of 11 indie-rock songs. The release follows 2021’s Screen Violence, making it the group’s first studio album in more than five years.

The promotional background published by concert promoter Jam Productions explains that the band wanted their return to challenge them creatively. It describes Cook moving towards acoustic instruments in his writing, while Mayberry developed her storytelling and vocal approach through sessions during the break.

Doherty’s renewed interest in British cinema is also cited, alongside influences including Massive Attack and PJ Harvey. Those details suggest a change in the ingredients behind the record. They do not yet establish how every finished song will sound, or mean that the trio’s electronic identity has simply vanished.

Where CHVRCHES will play in the UK and Ireland

The official itinerary begins its UK and Ireland leg at Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 23 April. Aberdeen Music Hall follows on 26 April, with Dundee LiveHouse on 27 April and Dublin’s 3Olympia on 29 April.

The tour then reaches Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on 1 May, Birmingham’s O2 Academy on 2 May and Bristol’s O2 Academy on 4 May. Norwich’s LCR UEA hosts the band on 5 May, before London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 6 May.

These are the dates currently listed by the band. Fans making travel plans should check their chosen venue’s event page for entry conditions, accessibility arrangements and the exact ticket options attached to that performance.

How the UK and Ireland presale works

CHVRCHES’ website says fans who preorder the album in any format by 7.30pm on Tuesday 27 October can access the exclusive UK and Ireland tour presale. That presale opens at 10am local time on Wednesday 28 October.

The site lists a separate arrangement for North American mailing-list members, so UK fans should follow the information specifically headed UK and Ireland. The deadlines and opening times for the two parts of the tour are different.

For listeners, January now offers a full album to discover before the spring shows arrive. The combination gives the return a clear shape: new music first, followed by dates across Scotland, England and Ireland.
