KATSEYE release WILD EP ahead of UK arena dates

KATSEYE WILD EP has arrived today, Friday 14 August, opening the global girl group’s latest pop chapter just weeks before they bring their first arena tour to the UK.

Released through HYBE x Geffen Records, WILD is KATSEYE’s third EP. The project follows 2025’s Beautiful Chaos and presents five tracks on its standard digital edition: Pinky Up, Animal, Hootie Frutti, Bel Air and That Way. A sixth song, Unloveu, is available as a bonus track on selected retail editions.

WILD marks KATSEYE’s next pop era

KATSEYE’s official store describes WILD as a record shaped by the group’s first two years together, with its songs centred on growth, self-discovery and self-determination. The release continues the group’s combination of K-pop-style performance training with Western pop songwriting and production.

The EP was introduced by Pinky Up, whose playful hook and choreography spread across TikTok and YouTube Shorts. It was followed by Animal, a confident pop single released in July.

Official Charts says the new material moves between sharply contrasting sounds rather than following one fixed formula. Hootie Frutti leans into deliberately chaotic pop, while Bel Air takes a more emotional direction. Closing track That Way slows the pace with a dreamier sound and was first performed at Spotify’s KLUB KATSEYE event in Brooklyn on 11 August.

The bonus track Unloveu also carries a direct contribution from within the group. Lara Raj co-wrote and co-produced the song, according to Reuters, which reported that the active members were particularly excited to share it as part of the new release.

A major UK test is approaching

The KATSEYE WILD EP arrives at an important point in the group’s relationship with British audiences. KATSEYE will begin the WILDWORLD TOUR at Dublin’s 3Arena on 1 September before performing at The O2 in London on 3 September and Co-op Live in Manchester on 6 September.

Those dates place the group in two of the UK’s largest indoor venues less than a month after the EP’s release. The European run continues through Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp and Copenhagen before the tour moves to North America in October.

KATSEYE have already shown growing momentum on the UK charts. Official Charts has closely followed the group’s recent singles and identified Animal as a possible route towards a first UK Top 10 hit. WILD now gives the group a complete new set of material to take into its arena production.

The EP is accompanied by KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a limited-release cinema film which opened internationally on 12 August. The film revisits the members’ path from the 2023 Netflix competition The Debut: Dream Academy to their development as a touring pop group.

Four members are leading current promotions

Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung are handling the current promotional period. Sophia Laforteza began a temporary health-related break on 7 August, while Manon Bannerman has also been on hiatus.

HYBE and Geffen said Sophia’s condition would be reassessed in September. No confirmed date has been given for either member’s return, so their involvement in the forthcoming tour should not be assumed.

Reuters reported that the group’s active members remain focused on the new music and the start of the WILDWORLD TOUR. The film still includes the wider group’s story, reflecting KATSEYE’s development from the original Dream Academy line-up.

WILD is available now

The KATSEYE WILD EP is available digitally from today, with physical editions also released through the group’s official shops and retailers. Its arrival connects a new collection of songs, a cinema project and the group’s most ambitious live schedule so far.

For the UK market, the timing is especially significant. British listeners now have just under three weeks to become familiar with WILD before KATSEYE step onto the stages of The O2 and Co-op Live.
