Stevie Wonder Announces Songs In The Key Of Life 50th Anniversary UK Tour

Stevie Wonder has announced the Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life 50th anniversary UK tour, bringing a full celebration of his landmark 1976 album to four British arenas this autumn.

The newly announced run begins at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on 13 October before heading to The O2 in London on 3 November, Co-op Live in Manchester on 8 November and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 11 November. Ticketmaster confirms that presales begin at 10am BST on Wednesday 9 September, with general sale opening at 10am on Friday 11 September.

The shows form part of Wonder’s wider Songs In The Key Of Life Performances – 50th Anniversary Tour, marking five decades since an album that remains one of the defining releases of his career. NME reports that Wonder will perform the album in its entirety during the anniversary concerts.

A landmark Stevie Wonder album returns to the stage

Released in 1976, Songs In The Key Of Life includes some of Wonder’s most enduring recordings, among them “Sir Duke”, “Isn’t She Lovely”, “As” and “Love’s In Need Of Love Today”. The record reached number two on the UK Albums Chart, making it Wonder’s highest-charting UK album, and went on to become an important part of his extraordinary catalogue.

Its reputation has continued well beyond its original chart run. The album is included in the US Library of Congress National Recording Registry, which preserves recordings considered culturally, historically or aesthetically significant. It also won Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, one of three albums by Wonder to take that prize during the 1970s.

The anniversary tour gives UK audiences a comparatively rare chance to hear the work presented as a complete piece rather than simply encountering its biggest songs within a conventional greatest-hits set. That distinction makes the new dates more than another arena tour: the album itself is the centre of the production.

Four UK dates confirmed

The Stevie Wonder Songs In The Key Of Life 50th anniversary UK tour currently includes four dates: Birmingham on 13 October, London on 3 November, Manchester on 8 November and Glasgow on 11 November. Ticketmaster’s Manchester listing identifies the event specifically as part of the 50th Anniversary Tour and confirms a 7.30pm start for the Co-op Live performance.

The new dates follow Wonder’s UK appearances in 2025, when his Love, Light & Song shows included a headline performance at BST Hyde Park in London. His return therefore comes relatively quickly, but with a substantially different premise built around one specific album and its anniversary.

Wonder has also made clear that he has no intention of treating live performance as something behind him. Speaking to BBC podcast Sidetracked last year, he discussed his determination to continue creating and performing while he is able to do so. He has also confirmed that he is working on a new album, Through The Eyes Of Wonder, although no release date has been announced.

Tickets go on sale this week

For fans hoping to attend the newly announced shows, the first ticket opportunities arrive today. Ticketmaster lists selected presales from 10am on Wednesday 9 September, followed by further presale access on Thursday. General sale begins at 10am BST on Friday 11 September.

Ticket availability and presale arrangements can differ between venues, so the individual venue or official ticket listing remains the best place to check access requirements. For the Manchester date, Ticketmaster currently states a maximum of eight tickets per person and household.

Five decades after its release, Songs In The Key Of Life remains closely associated with both Wonder’s songwriting and the broader story of modern soul and pop music. This autumn’s UK performances will put that record back at the centre of the stage, with four arena dates now confirmed.
