Erasure are returning with a new album and a major arena tour, as Andy Bell and Vince Clarke celebrate four decades of one of British pop’s most enduring partnerships.
The duo have announced their 20th studio album, Radio!! Radio!!, which will be released on 12 March 2027, alongside new single “Wings Of Love”.
According to Erasure’s official album announcement, the record is their first new studio album in six years and explores love, loss, injustice and the strength of a creative partnership that has now lasted for more than 40 years.
Wings Of Love begins the new Erasure era
“Wings Of Love” is the first track released from the album and premiered on BBC Radio 2.
The song keeps the polished synth-pop sound that has defined Erasure while giving Andy Bell lyrics centred on love, loneliness and gratitude for the people who have mattered throughout his life.
Mute describes Radio!! Radio!! as a record that is both hopeful and reflective, arriving after what the duo describe as a difficult period of grief.
Vince Clarke says some of the songs reflect events in his own life, while Bell describes their four-decade songwriting relationship as something close to a “soul connection”. The full announcement can be read through Mute’s official Erasure page

Vince Clarke will not appear on stage
There is one significant difference between this tour and previous Erasure shows.
Vince Clarke will remain fully involved as Musical Director, but he will not perform on stage during the announced concerts.
Clarke explains in the official announcement that long-distance travel has become difficult following his move to California, particularly after a recent journey to London left him struggling to recover from the effects of travelling.
Rather than stepping away from Erasure, the duo found another way for him to remain closely involved.
Bell says all Erasure decisions continue to be made together and describes Clarke as one of the great loves of his life.
The arrangement means Bell will front the live performances while Clarke continues directing the musical side of the tour remotely.
Forty years of Erasure
The announcement arrives during the 40th anniversary of Erasure’s debut album.
Bell and Clarke began working together in 1985 and went on to create some of British synth-pop’s most recognisable songs, including “A Little Respect”, “Sometimes”, “Love to Hate You”, “Blue Savannah”, “Chains of Love” and “Always”.
Their partnership has survived changing pop trends, different production eras and decades of touring without the duo formally separating.
That longevity gives Radio!! Radio!! particular significance.
Rather than building the anniversary entirely around their existing catalogue, Erasure are marking four decades by adding a complete new record to it.
Tickets go on general sale tomorrow
Fan presales have already begun, while general ticket sales open at 10am on Friday 2 October.
Prices vary by venue, with the official tour page listing different seating and standing arrangements across the UK dates.
Erasure have also confirmed that more international dates are being worked on, so the current schedule is not necessarily complete.
The Erasure Radio Radio 2027 tour begins in Cardiff on 25 April, with the new album arriving several weeks earlier on 12 March.
Forty years into their career, Bell and Clarke are not treating this anniversary as a farewell.
They are using it to start another Erasure chapter.
