Harry Styles closes 30-night Madison Square Garden residency with Harryween finale

Harry Styles closes 30-night Madison Square Garden residency with Harryween finale

Harry Styles has completed his sold-out 30-night residency at Madison Square Garden, closing the New York run on Saturday 31 October with a Talking Heads cover, a Halloween costume inspired by the city and a commemorative banner presented by New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson.

The final Together, Together show doubled as the second night of this year’s Harryween celebrations. It brought ten weeks of performances at the arena to an end, with Styles accepting an honour that will remain above the audience long after the residency has finished.

A Harryween finale for Harry Styles

Styles marked Halloween by arriving in a Pizza Rat costume, complete with an oversized slice of pizza. He later changed into an outfit featuring a T-shirt reading “I Am a Rat”, keeping the New York theme running through the evening. As Consequence reported from the finale, the costume accompanied a performance of Talking Heads’ Psycho Killer during the latter part of the set.

The choice added another cover to a weekend built around playful transformations. On Friday, Styles had dressed as Elvis before revisiting his own early career, changing into a version of his The X Factor audition outfit and singing Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely, the song he performed for that audition.

Stereogum’s account of the weekend also noted that Styles had previously worked part of Talking Heads’ This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) into Treat People With Kindness during the tour. Saturday’s performance gave another of the band’s best-known songs its own moment.

The recorded setlist for the final night also included Adore You, Watermelon Sugar, Satellite and As It Was. Near the close, Carla’s Song was performed at the piano, while Coming Up Roses and Sign of the Times featured a string section. The banner presentation followed Coming Up Roses, placing the formal tribute within the concert itself. That combination of familiar singles, newer material and a Halloween cover gave the closing show several distinct strands without making the evening solely a farewell ceremony.

A new banner above the Garden

Brunson joined Styles onstage to present the banner marking the 30-show achievement. According to Rolling Stone’s report of the presentation, the basketball player and singer shared a hug as the crowd celebrated. The occasion continued a connection between Styles and the venue that already included a banner for his 15-night run in 2022.

This year’s residency doubled that earlier total. Rather than playing on 30 successive evenings, Styles performed every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday across ten weeks. The distinction matters when describing a run whose scale rests on its total number of shows and the sustained demand for tickets.

Madison Square Garden Entertainment confirmed that every performance sold out. More than half a million fans attended, travelling from all 50 US states and 79 countries. The residency ran from 26 August until 31 October, with Jamie xx appearing as special guest.

The venue has also opened a display of memorabilia from the run in its Defining Moments exhibition on the sixth-floor concourse. That gives the residency a second lasting presence inside the building, alongside the banner raised to the rafters during the final show.

The tour continues beyond New York

Together, Together supports Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., which Sony Music confirms was released on 6 March 2026. The New York finale closes one substantial chapter of that campaign, with further concerts already announced for next year.

For British fans, the existing schedule includes Wembley Stadium on 25, 27 and 28 August 2027. Those dates are confirmed in the venue’s official event information. They were announced previously, rather than added as part of Saturday’s celebrations.

The New York run also continued the tour’s partnership with humanitarian organisation Choose Love. Other initiatives included EARNT, through which fans could unlock tickets by volunteering, and HeadCount’s voter-registration activities for eligible attendees. Alongside the costumes, covers and arena honour, those partnerships formed part of the residency that Styles has now brought to a close.
