Remember Monday have announced their debut album, Can We Press Rewind?, for release on 29 January 2027 through So What? Recordings. The British trio have introduced the record with Dream Cheat, a new single about waking up angry over a partner’s entirely imaginary betrayal.
The album announcement arrived on 28 October, setting out the next chapter for Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele after their appearance representing the UK at Eurovision in 2025. A February headline tour will follow, including a London performance at KOKO.
Remember Monday turn dating disasters into a debut album
The 12-track record is built around modern relationships, from hopeful beginnings to heartbreak and questionable decisions. In Dork’s coverage of the announcement, the group frame the project as a romantic comedy unfolding through songs.
That idea gives the album a clear organising thread. Rather than treating each track as a disconnected account of a break-up or a crush, the trio are presenting a collection that moves through the confusion, humour and emotional turns of dating.
The songs were written and developed together, with the announcement placing the band’s own songwriting at the centre of the project. The record is being introduced as a step into their own creative world following a period when many viewers first encountered them through televised performances.
Dream Cheat starts with an unreasonable morning
The new single takes a recognisable, slightly ridiculous scenario as its starting point: a dream in which a partner cheats, followed by the very real bad mood that survives after waking up. The joke rests on the fact that the other person has done nothing wrong.
That Eurovision Site reports that the trio wrote the track with Stefan Abingdon and Steve Battelle. Production comes from Abingdon and Battelle with Paul Whalley. The song follows their previous single, Attention, which also appears on the forthcoming album.
The accompanying video develops the same premise through a 1990s school-prom setting. As TotalNtertainment details, a Prom Queen’s apparently perfect evening collapses into a surreal nightmare when her dream boyfriend betrays her in front of the other guests.
It is an introduction to the album’s visual world as well as the single’s storyline. The romantic setting and increasingly chaotic events give the group a way to extend their humour beyond the lyrics, keeping the imaginary relationship drama at the centre.
A UK tour follows in February
The I’m Just A Girl tour begins at Trinity in Bristol on Monday 8 February 2027. It continues to Birmingham’s O2 Institute on 9 February and KOKO in London on Wednesday 10 February, described in the announcement as their biggest headline show so far.
Further performances are listed for Portsmouth’s Wedgewood Rooms on 12 February, Manchester’s Club Academy on 13 February and Glasgow’s Òran Mór on 14 February. Fans can find the current music and ticket links through the band’s official hub.
The album’s listed track sequence opens with Attention and includes Delusional, Emily and Serendipity, before closing with Movie Scene Cliché. Those titles sit alongside Dream Cheat within the 12-song collection.
From Eurovision to their own album era
Distributor Republic of Music confirms the album’s January release and traces the trio’s progress from independent artists to Eurovision. Before that, they reached the quarter-finals of The Voice UK under Jennifer Hudson’s mentorship.
Their three-part harmonies and blend of pop and country influences have remained central to their identity. Since Eurovision, the group have played festivals and headline shows, with their live work in 2026 also including support dates with McFly.
For listeners ready to explore the next stage, Dream Cheat is available now. Can We Press Rewind? follows on Friday 29 January, with the February shows giving the new material a live outing shortly after its arrival.
