Robbie Williams British Grand Prix 2027 plans have been confirmed, with the British pop star becoming the first music headliner announced for next summer’s Formula 1 weekend at Silverstone.
Williams will perform on the M&S Mainstage on Thursday 1 July 2027, opening four days of racing, music and entertainment at the British Grand Prix.
Silverstone says the concert will feature a career-spanning set of hits, bringing one of Britain’s biggest pop performers to the circuit before the Formula 1 action takes centre stage.
The announcement continues Silverstone’s expansion of the British Grand Prix beyond motorsport, with major concerts now forming an established part of the weekend.
Robbie Williams British Grand Prix 2027 show opens the weekend
The Robbie Williams British Grand Prix 2027 performance will take place on the Thursday evening, before the main Formula 1 weekend gets fully under way.
Silverstone has confirmed that Thursday evening tickets for the opening concert will start at £50, providing access to the venue and concert arena from 5pm.
Fans wanting early access to tickets for Williams’ performance can register for the artist presale until 5pm on Tuesday 22 September.
General ticket sales through Silverstone are scheduled to begin at 10am on Thursday 24 September.
Anyone buying a full British Grand Prix event ticket will also have access to the M&S Mainstage entertainment included with their ticket.
The wider 2027 British Grand Prix takes place from 1 to 4 July.
Another enormous stage for Robbie
Few British pop performers are as accustomed to large audiences as Robbie Williams.
His solo career stretches back three decades and includes songs such as “Angels”, “Let Me Entertain You”, “Rock DJ”, “Feel”, “Millennium” and “She’s the One”.
Silverstone says Williams has achieved 16 UK number one albums, giving him an extraordinary catalogue from which to build the opening-night performance.
His appearance also brings together two particularly British forms of spectacle: one of the country’s biggest pop entertainers and one of its largest annual sporting events.
Williams has acknowledged the atmosphere himself, saying in Silverstone’s announcement that he has heard the circuit “gets loud” and promising to kick off the Grand Prix weekend properly.
For Silverstone, securing Williams as the first announced music headliner also signals the scale of entertainment it intends to provide in 2027.
Further artists are still to be announced.
Silverstone is becoming a major music destination
Live music has increasingly become part of the identity of the British Grand Prix.
Rather than concerts operating as a small addition after the racing finishes, Silverstone now promotes the weekend as a combination of Formula 1 and large-scale entertainment.
The circuit says a record 564,000 fans attended across the 2026 British Grand Prix weekend.
That enormous audience gives artists a festival-sized platform alongside one of the biggest events in international motorsport.
Silverstone’s 2027 event will again run for four days, with entertainment taking place alongside the on-track programme.
The circuit has not yet revealed the complete music line-up, meaning Williams is the first piece of a larger programme still to come.
A huge start to the 2027 British Grand Prix
The Thursday-night position is significant.
Rather than appearing after qualifying or following Sunday’s race, Williams will effectively open the entire British Grand Prix weekend.
It gives the concert its own identity before attention shifts towards the Formula 1 action and allows Silverstone to begin its four-day programme with a performer capable of filling stadiums in his own right.
For Williams, it is another enormous UK stage in a career built around precisely that kind of live occasion.
For Silverstone, it reinforces how far the British Grand Prix has moved towards becoming a combined sporting and music event.
The Robbie Williams British Grand Prix 2027 concert takes place on Thursday 1 July, with the wider Grand Prix continuing through Sunday 4 July.
And with Williams only the first music headliner to be announced, Silverstone’s 2027 line-up is only beginning to take shape.
